Shiloh had followed Professor Anvion up to the castle and up to the door leading to the Hospital wing, wondering exactly why they were there. It had to have something to do with the Beast, the way he'd gone on and on about her not paying attention at the meeting, and making light of everything that was said. She shrugged as she stood there and waited on instructions from the white haired swordsman.
While she waited she tried imagining what he would drag her all the way up here for.. He hadn't given her any warning, any suggestion as to what he would show her. This both terrified and excited her. It could be something as simple as a scratch, or as bad as a mauled corpse. Though didn't they store those somewhere else? She wasn't entirely sure since Professor Justice had taken over.
Her thoughts turned to Tony and what she'd told him in the small hut during the hellish snow blizzard they'd had a few weeks ago. Maybe she should tell this....man? Maybe that would get him off her back about the Beast and why she seemed to flippant about it? The fact that she was terrified and that was how she dealt with feeling that way? She looked at Professor Anvion and impatiently asked. "Well? Are we going to get this show on the road? I have a class I have to teach soon."

Zadiken opened the door to the hospital wing and walked into the room, leading Professor Mindel past the beds and stopping at one which was surrounded by a curtain. He peeked at the chart and saw the name.
Christopher Anderson.
He nodded, and motioned for a St. Mungo's intern to come over to them. He pulled the curtain back to reveal the student who was ravaged. Four long scratches. Deep scratches. Zadiken pulled the chart off of the hook and began reading.
Student was in the middle of the grounds when attacked. Four long slashes down the back, nearly severing the spine in just as many spots. Luckily, healers onsite were ready, and healed the injuries before the poison would settle and make the damage irreparable.
"It left the forest and traveled across the grounds, attacking this student and sending him into this coma… we are unsure if the poison has affected him in any way. We’re waiting for him to awaken… but… no such luck. We’ve managed to do all we can.” He stood next to Kite’s bed and then glanced up at the flowers and cards, staying silent for a moment as he let her process everything.
”What we need is your cooperation. Your help. Not snide remarks, no cynicism… I don’t even even care what you truly think, just that you have some consideration for people. Especially this young man. He didn’t deserve this, Shiloh…” he closed his eyes, wondering if they could have prevented this at all… if they could have saved him the pain and misery… if they had disposed of the monster earlier…
They had to destroy it, and soon. If not, the Sphinxicore could soon claim a life.

Shiloh followed Professor Anvion into the room across to a bed that hadn't been occupied very long from the looks of things. Some how she knew what the white-haired man was going to do before he had even grabbed the chart... Before he'd summoned the nurse. But what did this have to do with the meeting?
Unless......................................................
The gasp that burst from her lips relayed the shock of seeing the prone form riddled with gashes deep enough to tear a good many vital organs if not the spinal cord..
She leaned over a near waste basket......Some how she figured Zadiken had placed it there just for this reason.......and furiously emptied her stomach of its contents when she noticed it was one of the newest Gryffindor students. Shiloh was still bent over the trash as she heard Zadiken start reading the information in the file he'd picked up.
The thing had come out of the forest onto the grounds. Is all that registered in her painfully shattered mind. Her fright of creatures had just escalated to the point of utter terror.. Her heart raced, her already shallow breathing became even more so. Turning she sat on the bed nearest to her for fear of her legs failing her. Alright.. I really should let him know the minimum then.. She thought, dreading giving anyone any insight into her past.
" Professor Anvion... I really should tell you something... I deal with terror... by being flippant. I am terrified of any creature that walks on more than two legs. I used to have a cat.. I adored the thing.. Until my father came back... Turned.. It some how turned my cat against me... I had get rid of the cat before it mauled me more than it did." her voice held a dead calm under complete and utter terror.
She looked up at the professor who just assumed because that was all she'd ever let anyone do.. that she was a complete witch.

Zadiken saw her reaction, and then also saw her double over to vomit. He hated doing this, but he wanted her to stop being so... flippant. He closed his eyes for a moment, letting her process everything, then he heard her speak, explaining her attitude. Ah... finally, he had her reason. He slowly covered Kite back up, and looked at her, sighing.
"Look... I'm sorry. I'm glad you're being honest with me, but this... this is more severe. I need you to try and be strong." He opened his eyes and looked at her, softening his gaze. "I'm not so much upset at you as I am just trying to get you to be strong here. It's an awful weakness to be afraid of these creatures, and I will be sure to let Lana know not to ask you to come with us when we go to hunt the beast."
He trusted her a little more now, and started walking out, bidding her to follow him. "It's about lunchtime. Please, come with me, and we'll talk more."
He stood over by the door, and thought about the past... he was once not tolerating of creatures himself... but had to learn to steel his nerves, moving on and strengthening his resolve and helping him grow into bravery. He hoped that maybe, he could help her as well.

Shiloh looks at Professor Anvion as he explains the feelings behind all the tension in the meeting earlier..
" I understand that sir.. And I am sorry for portraying the... to put it bluntly.. b^^ch.. But I haven't been right about creatures since that time.. I really haven't tried to move past it.. It's just easier to keep going this way. I was at the meeting, because it is my duty to the students as a professor here.. But I have no idea about what anyone was talking about."
She sighed as she turned away from the mauled body of the child and gritted her teeth at the remembered pain that those few deep claw marks had caused her. Somewhere in her mind she heard that it was lunch time, and her stomach rolled heavily though she forced it to stay down as she answered. "I'll follow you.. But I don't think I'll be eating and keeping it down."
She walked toward him as he held the door open, going through she finally allowed herself to breathe calmly.

"That's fine, Mindel. Let's walk." he said quietly, opening the door for her, leaving Kite to rest. He walked down the hallway, and sighed, relaxing a bit. "Listen, I'm gonna be straight with you. I know I'm not trusted here. Nor am I even expecting to be kept here. Right now I'm trying to stick around and help the school before an all out political war breaks out between Kaliana and the Ministry." he confessed the situation to her, mainly because it seemed the more she understood, the more into solving the issue she was.
He looked over at her, taking brief note of her body type. Looking her up and down, he realized that she was very out of place for the job she accepted. It was strange, yes, that she was even here, but then again, what was he to think? Kaliana was the Headmaster, and she was drop dead gorgeous. Who was he to judge? He looked away for a second, admittedly impressed with her physique. She must work out, he concluded, and went along with his business towards the Great Hall.
His primary mission was, at the moment, convincing Lana to let him stay and help. Whether she trusted him or not was slightly evident in the fact that she did share a bed with him. But then again, sex can only go SO FAR... he had to make absolutely sure he was doing everything he could to help her... even if it meant accepting the termination from his Auror position. He loved Lana... and he wasn't going to back off of the chance to be with her forever.
"Alrighty... time to see what they have for Lunch." he stated quietly, looking as the students filed into the Hall for a meal.

Shiloh was taken aback by Professor Anvion's frankness.. Why would he tell me if he was trusted or not? she wondered. What does that have to do with me? Was he wanting something out of it some how? She'd had little experience with the Ministry.. Or the creatures of the castle.. So how was complaining that he'd more than likely be sent on his way soon going to change anything? She had no pull with either of them.
Then she noticed him 'checking her out' and smiled smartly.. Of course. she thought slyly. He had the headmistress now he wanted the younger looker. Her smile transformed into one that couldn't be mistaken for anything other than 'come hither'. Sure.. He wasn't as hot in the traditional sense as Tony was.. Or in her opinion. Then there were rumors that Tony had him beat in one way quite readily. Doing her own survey of the man standing in front of her she decided she wouldn't mind testing that theory.
She moved in closer so he could see that the clothes under her parted robe left little hidden to the imagination. They were just outside the Great hall and students hadn't yet started filing out of their respective classrooms so she took that time to grab the front of his jacket sensually and ask in a voice smothered in undertone. "So you like what you see? How about we go somewhere quieter.. There's more that would appeal to your liking. Besides.. Lana won't know if you let me take a 'peek'." She laid it on thick.
The men she'd know had little in way of fidelity and as such she'd come to expect that from most, if not all, men. She pulled her shoulders back slightly to accentuate her plentiful upper portion, and leaned just ever so slightly to one side to make the rest of her curves more appealing. She looked down and thought to herself, yeah. Let him deny this.

Woah.
Just... woah.
Way to misconstrue his analytic ways... he gave a sheepish smile, allowing a slight blush to play his cheeks as he shook his head.
"I appreciate the interest, Shiloh, but Lana would kill me" he confessed, touching the bottom of her chin gently. "You're about four days too late there." he let his hand run along her shoulder and patted her arm. "Besides that, I think you'd have a much better time with Tony anyways." he smirked. He was good friends with the young man, and already knew (mainly because of one particular woman that they had dated, Zadiken first, Tony last, who admitted to Zadiken that he whoo-hoo's like a dead fish compared to Tony) that Tony was good enough for her thirsts. Having seen her 'left to imagination' figure in his peripheral vision, he knew a less faithful man would have pointed to their immediate left and said "Closet. Now."
He moved aside a little, outside of her immediate rape zone, and crossed his arms, a slightly amused, and admittedly impressed smile on his face. He tilted his head and reached out his hand. "I will however, invite you to lunch. We could go to Hogsmeade if you want, get away from these kids." He hadn't gotten out of the grounds since he had gotten there, and needed to get out. Kaliana was a good seven hours from being free, and he wanted to see if maybe he could make friends with this blonde, sensual woman. Not for the aformentioned reasons of sex appeal, no, but mainly because he saw a good in her that was underneath all that sexuality. Underneath the masterwork she portrayed that would make many other women jealous (or lose their boyfriends). He wanted to see if he could see more of this true her, the side that even Tony had mentioned, though it wasn't no secret what they did in his hut. Even with a soundproofing spell, it was clear why she followed him into that hut almost daily for the past two weeks.
-----------------------------
OOC note: Yes, Tony has been there probably a week longer than Zadiken.

Shiloh let a smirk play across her features as he not so strongly denied what she offered yet in the same breath invited her out to lunch.. In Hogsmead.. away from the school and Kaliana. She shrugged and figured if anything it would be nice to get away from the overbearing headmistress and the castle that demanded a great deal from her.
The flirtatious look still glinting her eyes, and her smirk transforming into a self-assured smile she shrugged. "Alright.. But it's you're loss.. The way I see it is what she don't know won't hurt you. There's no way she'd know we'd be in Hogsmead." her tone still held an undertone that was unmistakable though she was surprised that he hadn't taken her up on the offer as she'd made it.
"Either way, the offer still stands. Though lunch away from here does sound amazing." Under her sure attitude she was worried what the professors that Kaliana had under her thumb would report to the headmistress about her and Professor Anvion leaving the castle grounds together. After the meeting her foothold in the castle had slipped a great deal. There were rumors floating around that the mistress was rather vindictive when it came to her and Zadiken's relationship.
A sigh escaped her lips, figuring one way or the other something had to give.. Either her position as a professor or the overbearing lady's hatred of her. Her smile turning rather sheepish she looked at Zadiken and affirmed. " So, meet you there, or....?"

Vindictive was nothing. Zadiken belonged to her. She would murder them both if Zadiken gave into the sultry advances of the beautiful Shiloh Mindel.
However, he was stronger than that. He had met with several of the working Professors, taking note of all of the sightings and occurences of the Sphinxicore while enjoying a lunch or dinner with them. If Shiloh kept this up, however, there would be hell to pay, he was sure. Kaliana was frequently in Hogsmeade, enjoying the shops and the dining there as much as she could.
They'd most likely run into her.
He nodded to her and smiled. "Just meet me at the three broomsticks, and we'll lunch." he said, as he then turned and walked towards the exit.
--- ----- Time Break ----- ---
Zadiken had entered the pub, nodding at the barkeep as he found a table and seated himself. He mused to himself that Shiloh wasn't finished. That she wanted a piece of him, and would probably make another attempt to sway him and his pants in her direction. Now, he couldn't blame her, he wasn't a bad looking guy, but, he was also spoken for, and she knew this. Was it perhaps the thrill of taking the Headmistress's man right underneath her nose? Perhaps the thrill of getting what she wants, no matter the circumstance. Either way, he would end up rejecting her, and she would most likely go and seek carnal comfort with Tony himself, that little devil.
He ordered him (and her) a Butterbeer, ordering a third and keeping it next to him just in case they get unexpected company. Someone undoubtedly saw Shiloh advance on him, and advised Kali about it. Shiloh's attempted lapdance in the middle of the hall wouldn't help her, but Zadiken hoped that he could perhaps quell the storm between the two so they could work together. They didn't know it, but they could both be an awesome team...
He looked up as the door opened, and saw several students huddle in, peeling off their jackets and such as they filed into the dim bar. He smirked, remembering his and Lana's times here... he wondered if they'd be able to come here after the hybrid beast's business was done and overwith...

Shiloh smiled as Zadiken started walking out the door. "You can bet I'll be there." she called and started following him.
--------------Time Lapse --------------------------
Shiloh walked through the doors, on her way she'd transfigured her cloak into skin tight shorts and a white tank that showed her tanned body to perfection. Not just for the purpose of enticing Zadiken to her bed, but any other male who happened to look her way was in for a treat. She smiled haughtily at the 'keep who was more than likely old enough to be her grandfather. She couldn't help that the guy had good taste.
She spotted Zadiken sitting at one of the tables and started over, hips swaying enticingly and her eyes having a sultry hue about them, smiling she vocalized her thanks for the invite. "Thanks for the invite. I haven't been here near enough..'' Her smile turned deadly, " Now.. Where were we? Oh.. That's right." She remembered vocally as she slid into a chair only inches from Zadiken's right side.
Her smile transformed into a self assured smirk, "So, now that we're away from prying eyes... How about reconsidering?" the sultry tone of her voice only high enough to carry the short distance between the two. She looked up into his bright blue eyes that revealed possibly more than he was wanting to.

Oh lord.
He had to stop himself form laughing when she swayed her way across the room, showing off her well toned thighs, giving all implications of what they are capable of. He refrained from shaking his head, and let her sit next to him, raising an eyebrow as she asked him about reconsidering. He leaned over closer, close enough to where he could see the horny stars in her eyes, and breathed his answer.
"No."
He leaned back and smiled, sliding her Butterbeer over to her. "I have... absolutely no problems being friends. But that's as far as it goes..." he smirked and took a sip of his Butterbeer, looking towards the door.
Alright babe. Any time now.
He set the bottle on the table with a light thunk, and looked across the bar. Maybe she was already here. Heh... he expected her to rain daggers of fire upon Shiloh if she even touched him.

Shiloh's smirk melted when Zadiken started to lean in. Then he all but shot her out of the water, her smirk didn't falter in the least. Her half-hearted shrug was the only indication that she'd heard his denial. "Your loss. Makes no difference to me."
Then the look she had on her face became one of worried curiosity. He was waiting on some one. Who? She'd noticed the third butterbeer slightly hidden from view beside him in the chair. Had he wound her up in something she wanted no part of?
She looked up at him and asked, "Well, if you didn't want 'away from the castle' for that.. Then what are we doing here?" She voiced curiously. She'd secretly been waiting on the headmistress or her 'hired dog' Tabby to walk through the doors since she knew at least one or two students had witnessed her display toward the older professor in the hall way.
She'd gotten more antsy as the thought had circled around her mind often on the way there. Was she willing to risk her position at the school for a roll in the hay? She braced herself, one hand unknowingly falling on Zadiken's thigh as the doors swung open on a shove.

Kaliana had been in her office going over papers and such pertaining to the monster in the forest, the minister wanting to rid Zadiken of his auror position to some how save the school. She still hadn't figured that out. Tony apparently relinquishing his aurorship in the same turn. When Tabby had burst through the door with information that positively just couldn't wait.
A few students had seen Zadiken and Professor Mindel 'making out' in the hall way before lunch. The fact that the woman had hated Zadiken from the minute he'd been seen walking onto the grounds did nothing for the truthfulness of the statement. And the fact that it had been relayed possibly between most of the students before she'd heard it had added more of a halo of hearsay to the statement. Even though she knew it probably hadn't happened the way it had been relayed, a fury of jealousy filled her.
It had also been reported that both had been seen leaving the castle at the same time headed into Hogsmeade. Now that... had lent a coincidental mix to the whole thing. She'd dismissed Tabby rather heatedly and had made her way like a demon on a mission to claim a fallen angel into her masses.
She arrived in Hogsmeade on a war path. She made her way to the Three Broomsticks ready to kill both of them. How stupid she'd been to believe any of the words he'd spouted in her chambers. Accepting this god blessed ring. She looked at the devil thing wound around her finger and debated taking it off and throwing it in the nearest gutter.
No.. She'd keep it on long enough to fling it in his face. She placed her hands on the door leading into the pub and shoved. Not caring who happened to be on the other side at that time, as she entered her deft eyes scanned all the faces in the room. Her eyes locked on the two sitting in the table near the back. She'd recognize him from a 100 yards away.. And the damming began. Shiloh was snugged up to his right side, ever so innocently and her hand Lana saw was playfully placed strategically close on his thigh.
Her eyes narrowed to slits as she made her way to their table, wondering if she get away with casting two curses before the ministry got here to protect one of their star players. "Well.. Well.. Professor Anvion, Mindel. Fancy meeting you two here." her low voice was laced with death. Without waiting for an invitation she snagged a chair from a close table and jerked it to the one they had occupied and sat.

God. Damn. That. Hand.
He assumed it was a reflex from her usual "clients", placing her hand on their thigh when nervous.
He glowered at Shiloh and picked her hand up by her wrist, dropping her arm on the table, and putting the Butterbeer on the table.
"Hello, Lana." he said, a slightly annoyed look on his face. He knew she would do this, and loved her for it. He slid the Butterbeer closer to her, and sighed. "Ok, so, I know exactly what you're thinking. But I'm going to give you an option here..." he slid a clear bottle in front of her. "I met with the Potions Master last week... got this bottle of Veritaserum. The truth potion. Now..." he cleared his throat, and continued. "Now. I will take this potion if you want me to, or, I can just tell you the truth without it. I was not doing anything other than having lunch with her, as I've done with every other Professor we had." He crossed his arms, looking at her with pleading eyes, hoping she wouldn't push him into taking the potion... he hoped she trusted him.
