Lana listened to the fears and honest opinions... with facts laced through out from the two men and Tabby and began to share their worries added with her own. She'd suspected the Ministry was somehow behind the beast since she'd had both Zadiken and Tony show up pretty much unannounced and out of the blue. Though she hadn't voiced these fears to anyone, even Zadiken. She suspected Alchemy since both men had a history practicing it, and even suspected either one of them of having been behind the plot to take over the school. Now...Zadiken not so much though the lingering doubt was still there.. But Tony, he had acted like he could care less through out this whole meeting and like Shiloh seemed to think it was all a big joke though he'd had one dangerous run in with the beast himself as seen from the still fresh bandages under his trousers that made one leg look twice as thick as the other.
She kept the fears, or suspicions to herself for the time being, and figured she'd let Zadiken know exactly how much she appreciated being kept in the dark when they were alone and no one could hear what exactly she accused him of. Lana saw the look Shiloh was giving both her and Tabby and suspected that if she didn't put across exactly what would happen to said woman if she continued to irritate and accuse her and another professor that there was going to be an outright blood bath on her hands from the return look Tabby was aiming at the younger.....professor.
"Shiloh, these continued attacks will not be tolerated I will be talking to you in my office as soon as this meeting is over if you do not pull more accusations, if you do.. You can pack your stuff and leave...NOW! I have no place in my roster for someone who treats fellow faculty like this." She admonished the girl quickly, and with a calmness bordering on deadly. Only those who knew her knew to watch their step when she was like that, and unfortunately Shiloh had not been around her enough to know.. So needless to say she expected more outbursts before this was over with.
Finally, Lana addressed the room as a whole with how to deal with the beast. " Ok, we've figured out approximately where the thing came from, how it came to be, and why it's here... or why we suspect it's here." A meaningful glare was aimed in Zadiken's direction and a contemplatively suspicious stare to Tony as she continued. " Now, what are we going to do about it? No one is heading anywhere until this thing is managed... whether it be by killing it or capturing it somehow, though I believe wholeheartedly that the latter is nigh impossible from the information gathered. And there should have already been sentries set up as well as a spell to keep unauthorized people out." She said, ignoring the fact that Zadiken seemed to think...for some reason.. that he was in charge and could pull rank on her. She'd looked at him as she'd said no one was going anywhere.. And she'd meant it, no one was leaving school grounds until this was over nor venturing into the forest without good reason without a partner.
She looked at Tabby and acknowledged her feelings concerning the Ministry. She shared that notion, though Zadiken was here because of a shared past and hopeful shared future, and Tony was here on Zadiken's request. Both had denied having any knowledge of the plot to try to take over the school.. And she supposed for now, until she had any evidence to the contrary she would believe them. "As far as the Ministry... They are in no way, shape or form welcome on these grounds. This feeling is shared by many professors here. They have been after this school since it was rebuilt for some reason or other. And I've no doubt that this is another one of those ploys. I have allowed both you and Tony here at your request and your denial of any knowledge of this ploy. If I find otherwise.. You can guarantee there will be h*ll to pay!"
She drew a breath and chose to sit back down, shaking slightly with feeling as she awaited any further suggestions that did not involve going to the Ministry on how to deal with their current... predicament.

Tony's jaw dropped.
"Woah, woah, woah, woah." he waved his hands, almost the the point of flailing. "Aurellis sent us here. Not the Auror Department. Aurellis Noct personally. That man shut down the Alchemy R&D! Why, after so many years, would he dump a Sphinxicore in the Forest, and send two of his finest Aurors here? This think nearly made Filet Mignon outta my thigh!!" he took a breath, calming himself.
"...Listen... I'm sorry... But we're here for the simple fact that there's something on the school grounds that someone undoubtedly would kill students for. It's why I was suggested for Gamekeeper and Keeper of the keys. Then, at least I'd be able to keep an eye out on the perimeter of the Forest. Tabby's been an absolute joy to work with... I wouldn't just... bring something here to kill people. I may be a student in Alchemy.. but a beast like that is beyond my skill level and comprehension... I... I'm just glad I was able to save those kids."
He closed his eyes, and shook his head, the medicine he had taken wearing off. The overabundance of medicine. The accidental overdose that caused him to be late for this to begin with. He only hoped that Kaliana would trust them.

Zadiken nodded in agreement with Tony, keeping his cool. He knew Lana trusted him. It wasn't any issue at all, considering he knew Lana. He also agreed with Lana that people should stay, though Tony himself had to chase students out of the Forest on a regular basis. Even one nutcase Professor. But that was beside the point. All of it. There was something bigger going on here, and he had to stop it. But how? What could he do aside from go to the Ministry and ask Aurellis what was up?
There was more to this. So much more.
He closed his eyes, taking a breath and starting.
'Either way we look at this, there are going to be issues with trust, the Ministry being involved. The structure of the Ministry, the Wizengamot, has ruled all activity on the school premises be ultimately monitored, mainly because of recent discoveries that have caught their attention, and the attention of select few other higher members that now want this school on it's knees so they can do their snooping. However, they can't because there are already Ministry personnel here. Basically, this means that while me and Tony are here, there cannot be any more Aurors or Ministry officials sent to check the place out, seeing as we're running an 'active investigation'. All I can possibly do is maybe go to the Ministry and leave Tony here while I find out what the Hell is going on."
Zadiken hated the prospect of leaving the school... Lana was here. But what was he to do? He could sit around and wait for the Wizengamot to find a loophole, or he could go and make his own loopholes to keep them out. He he;d back a frustrated sigh and crossed his arms. Such a mess...
He looked over at Lana, with half pleading eyes. He needed her help... now it was up to her to decide.

Tabby wished she was a telepath so that she could thank Kali here and now, as it was… she’d make sure that her favorite ‘boss’ got whatever the heck she wanted for the next seven or eight holidays, and possibly more than that. Not only had that shut up the rather annoying young woman in the room, not that Tabby was much older than her, but it had also established that she would not be losing her home. She turned to look at Tony, head tilting as he called her a joy to work with. Was he being honest or sarcastic? She couldn’t tell, but she COULD tell that he was in pain. She knew how that felt. Her back had been hurting quite a bit lately. She whipped her head around to stare at Zadiken so fast she both heard and felt her neck crack painfully. An animalistic growl bubbled through her throat, for once her growl wasn’t directed straight at Zadiken. Tony could be cool on his own, once she got over him being from the hellhole that she was forced to call her controlling government, but Zadiken… If it weren’t for laws and the fact that she was fairly certain that he was stronger than her she would try to kill him in an instant.
“The FACT that Aurellis sent you is what’s putting my fur up. Even if he shut down the very program that might have created this, he’s a politician. The only thing those bastards ever care about is getting voted back into office. Besides, by dumping that thing here he could quite easily be expecting a student TO die, and then he could swoop in and play the hero. That’s what happened with the last Minister when my father was fucking mur-!” She realized what she was about to say and shut her mouth so fast that she felt at least one of her teeth chip from the impact with her other teeth. She refused to talk about her father’s death. It was a topic that the threat of death couldn’t even drag from her. Angry; with herself, the ministry, and Tony she stood up, knocking her chair into the table and stormed out of the door. She needed to go beat something into a meat pudding.
OOC// Author Notes: 1: Tabby IS also mad at Zadiken, but she's always mad at him so he isn't counted in her little list. 2: Tabby has left the room and the building... and quite possibly the property... don't be surprised if something does show up bloody in the news on her part.

Lana glanced heatedly at both men after Tabby had walked out. Tabby had it right.. The Minister had sent them.. Unannounced to 'help' at the castle. The thought continued to bounce around in her head. She still had the feeling their purposes hadn't fully been revealed to her. And even though her and Zadiken had a history she still did not fully trust him. Not with her school, professors and students. She said as much to this effect.
" Yes, there are issues of trust.. Hopefully after all this is straightened out with this...beast we can all try to work them out.. For the sake of the school. I think we've hashed over everything we can. For now we need to get some rest and will take the thing out tomorrow night."
She looked over as Shiloh got up to walk out, guess she figured she'd best leave instead of furthering her troubles. A sickly smile crossed the girl's features as she closed the door behind her. Frowning Lana made a mental note to ask Mindel what was wrong when they met up in her office shortly.
She shrugged and placed it at the back of her mind.. Ridding the school of the beast was first and foremost. Figuring out exactly why the two friends had been dropped in her lap so to speak was second on the list. Looking at Tony she said "Well, I'll see you tomorrow.. Rest up.. Though I don't think you should be in on the actual taking the monster down." She looked pointedly at his leg and remembered 'slumber' when he'd come in.
Her gaze moved over to Zadiken, "You and I need to talk. Now. In my office." she said in a demand. At that she made to walk out the door and up to her office.
OOC: Note: Lana and Shiloh have both exited..
