Character
Alias: Aurellis
Sex: Male
Age: 96 Years old
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 187lbs
Eye color: Blue
Hair color: White
Bloodline: Pure
Profession: Minister of Magic
House: Attended Hogwarts in the house of Gryffindor
Markings: None
Likes: Aurellis likes light orchestra music and relaxing. He enjoys various foods, enjoying a nice night out trying new things on the menu. He moonlights as a Food Critic for Muggle Restaurants, due to wanting to open his own Restaurant one day. This stems from his passion to cook.
Dislikes: He dislikes horridly cooked food, which is why he is a Critic in the Muggle World, writing for various Muggle newspapers under the alias "Armitage". He dislikes disrespect for authority, and physical/magical conflict, usually resolving to negotiate or compromise before he resorts to force.
Strengths: He is strong in his inquisitive ability, his years not weathering his eyes, but strengthening them. He practices Sudoku and Riddles often, keeping his mind sharp and ready for anything that is thrown his way. As prior mentioned, he is strong in his ability to cook without magic. He can whip up anything possible with the right ingredients, and is famous in the Wizarding world for writing and developing recipe's used everywhere, even in Hogwarts by the chef House Elves.
Weaknesses: His primary weakness is the fact that he is the last surviving member of his family. He is worn down because of these years alone, and would much rather love being somewhere in peace and tranquility. However, his rise to Minister of Magic had placed in his mind that he needed to place his responsibilities before his actual needs, therefore making him the bitter man he is today.
Boggart: His Boggart would take the form of the Grim Reaper, since he does fear that death will take him one way or another. The Reaper just stands there, more imposing than a Dementor, and beckons to him.
Dementor: The Dementor would remind him of the awful screams of the people who died while Voldemort ran rampant before the Battle Of Hogwarts.
Patronus: His Partonus takes the form of Doberman. This is significant to him because his first dog when he was younger was the Doberman.
Animagus: He chose not to practice being an Animagi.
Mirror of Erised: If he were to gaze at the mirror, he would see his son, alive and well, standing next to him, smiling.
Detailed Personality: He is a harsh and bitter old man, reserving acts of kindness only to those closest to him. Despite his place of power, he is rather lax, and usually allows the subordinates to operate different things for him, trusting in their ability. He takes pride in his knowledge of Defense Against the Dark Arts, being a fearsome duelist in his own right. As stated above, his passion is cooking, mainly because he and his now missing fiance used to enjoy cuisine together, and cook together nightly.
Family: No living relatives
History: Aurellis Artage Noct was born on Janurary 16th, 1916, to Bethany Marie Noct, and Cornelius Bradley Noct. Aurellis grew up in his parent’s home, which was a strict, but loving household. He was brought up with the values of justice and love, growing to be accepted in the house of Gryffindor at Hogwarts in 1927, finding himself loving the Defense Against the Dark Arts classes, becoming one of the most prominent students in the school at that time. He had also been proficient in Potions and Transfiguration, which helped him towards his goal career as Auror. During his second year, his mother had passed away due to complications giving birth to her child, who did not survive as well. This hit him hard, but he pressed on, his father giving him the support he needed to continue. He had found that he had an aversion to Care of Magical Creatures, not wanting to get too awful close to the creatures that were present.
By his third year, he had done everything he could to keep up with his classes, working hard to bring himself up to his best possible grade. Very little had happened that year, making it long, dull, but fruitful in terms of his education, for he had made high marks on all of his courses. He continued this streak all the way through his fourth year, picking up a knack for Divination, on top of his normally strong classes, and blazed through that year with flying colors. He worked hard, showing all of his progress to his father, who was equally as proud as his son. Eager to continue, he looked forward to his fifth year, when tragedy struck. His father, An Auror for the Ministry, had suffered an attack by a Dark Wizard and succumbed to the killing curse, leaving him an orphan. He spent the first six months of his fifth year doing nothing, unable to focus or even think. He had nightmares, reoccurring, unforgiving. He wasn’t there for his father, and this killed him more than anything.
Aurellis's sixth year moved by easily with the assistance and tutoring from Armando Dippet, Headmaster at that time. With the further help and studies, he managed to make high marks on all subjects, making it into his Seventh Year. During this year, he met the only woman he would ever love, Emilia Scroud. After leaving to train for Aurorship, they moved in together, he an Auror, her a Nurse at St. Mungo's. During this time, things were great. Five years had passed, and they had made plans to get married. Everything had been set, dress picked out, the location, the date, until a certain event that shook Aurellis. Emilia had simply gone missing. No note, no nothing. Confused, and depressed, he pondered reasons she may leave, ultimately selling their house, and moving to an apartment into the city.
Thirty years passed, Aurellis turning 52 years old when he retired from Aurorship, moving to the southernmost portion of Ireland, retreating from the hustle bustle, and living in relative peace. It was 1963. After 15 years, the Ministry requested his return for assistance against a great force, a Dark Wizard called Voldemort. After providing assistance for several years, the then old man was caught in a crossfire in 1981, and ended up in St. Mungo's for major injuries sustained during the multiple duels that happened. After recovery, he came back to the ministry to find that Voldemort had fallen. To an infant.
This amused him greatly, and he continued to work in the Mimistry offices for the remainder of the decade, leaving once again to travel the world. By the time he had returned in 1999, he had confirmed what rumors had stated, that Voldemort had yet again been defeated, by the same boy. Amusement turned to admiration, and he fully believed then that power, could come from any source, whether man or child.
Three years, after Cornelius Fudge rejected his readmission request for Minister of Magic, he personally requested Aurellis take over, thus beginning Aurellis Noct's career as Minister of Magic.
